Manama: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has advanced to 14th place globally and first in the Arab world in the 2024 Global AI Index, published by Tortoise Intelligence, marking a 17-rank improvement out of 83 countries.
According to SPA, the Kingdom’s leadership in the Government Strategy sub-pillar has reinforced its standing as a global AI leader. Additionally, its seventh place ranking in the Commercial Ecosystem sub-pillar highlights Saudi Arabia’s investment in AI technologies and the development of a strong AI ecosystem.
The Global AI Index evaluates 83 countries using 122 indicators divided into three key pillars: Implementation, Innovation, and Investment, which are further categorised into seven sub-pillars, including Talent, Infrastructure, and Government Strategy.
