HEBRON: Israeli occupation forces have released seven Palestinian young men from Al-Fawwar refugee camp after subjecting them to severe mistreatment during their detention. The youths were among many detained during a large-scale incursion into the camp the previous day.
According to local reports, the released individuals were abandoned on various roads far from their homes, displaying visible injuries and bruises, with some struggling to move.
Amjad Al-Najjar, a spokesperson for the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), described the treatment endured by those released as brutal and inhumane. He stated that the youths were kept handcuffed and blindfolded, and were denied food and water during their detention.
Al-Najjar also noted that soldiers used a hammer to strike them and attempted to extract the teeth of one of the seven detainees.
Due to their deteriorating health, the released youths were taken to Hebron Government Hospital for medical examinations, as several were unable to stand or move certain
limbs.
