Rabat: In an orange-level alert, the General Directorate of Meteorology announced that altitudes above 1500 meters across the provinces of Figuig, Boulemane, Sefrou, Guercif, Taza, and Midelt are expected to receive between 10 to 25 centimeters of snow on Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, thundershowers measuring 30 to 70 centimeters, accompanied by hail and gusty winds, are also anticipated in Taza, Berkane, Driouch, Nador, Oujda-Angad, Jerada, Taourirt, Al Hoceima, Guercif, Sefrou, and Boulemane. These weather conditions are expected to occur from Wednesday through Thursday, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Additionally, regions situated at altitudes above 1600 meters are forecast to experience a cold wave with temperatures dropping between -8 and -4 °C. This cold spell is expected to persist from Thursday through Saturday in the provinces of Boulemane, Ifrane, Midelt, Khenifra, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Al Haouz, Taroudant, and Chichaoua.
