Snowfall Forecast to Impact Several Provinces in Morocco


Rabat: Snowfall is expected to affect several provinces in Morocco from Tuesday to Wednesday, as announced in an orange-level weather alert by the Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). The provinces of Azilal, Beni Mellal, Ifrane, and Boulemane are anticipated to receive snowfall ranging from 20 to 40 centimeters starting from Tuesday at 6 a.m. till Wednesday at 11 p.m.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, during the same period, the provinces of Al Haouz, Taza, Chefchaouen, Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Figuig, Khénifra, Sefrou, Al Hoceima, and Guercif are also expected to experience snowfall, with accumulations estimated between 10 to 20 centimeters. These forecasts highlight potential disruptions and the need for preparations in the affected regions.
