The Israeli military government issued 11 stop-work orders for Palestinian homeowners in al-Jiftlik village, north of Jericho in the east of the occupied West Bank. Local activist Ayman Ghareeb told WAFA that soldiers broke into al-Jiftlik this morning and handed residents 11 stop-work orders on houses built of cement, some were still in the construction stage while others were built since 1960 and 1975. Israel claims the land where the houses are built is located in Area C of the occupied West Bank, which is under full Israeli military rule and where Palestinians are not allowed to build or develop.
