Tangier King Fahd School Hosts Training for Comorian Diplomats

Tangier: Comorian diplomats began a specialized training program on Monday at Tangier King Fahd School of Translation, where they are developing translation, interpreting, and digital skills to enhance their diplomatic work.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the initiative was launched by Abdelmalek Essaadi University as part of Morocco’s broader South-South cooperation strategy, in line with the enlightened vision of HM King Mohammed VI, which places Africa at the center of Morocco’s diplomatic priorities. The program is set to run from April 6 to May 2, the university said in a press release.

Supervised by a team of professors and university experts, the program also seeks to equip participants with language proficiency and enhanced technical abilities, enabling diplomats to effectively address contemporary challenges and providing them with strategic tools to support the performance of their duties.

The program includes cultural and institutional visits across the Tangier-Tetouan-Al-Hoceima region, offering participants insight into Morocco’s heritage while fostering closer ties with the Union of Comoros.

Highlighting the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as a key player in expanding academic reach and strengthening international ties, the university highlighted its role in supporting African training initiatives and promoting the exchange of expertise among friendly and brotherly countries.

Through this initiative, Abdelmalek Essaadi University reaffirms its role as a hub for academic excellence and a platform for South-South cooperation, serving a cohesive, innovative, and forward-looking Africa, the statement concluded.
