Three Dead in Acts of Violence and Vandalism in Leqliaa – Interior Ministry Spokesperson


Leqliaa: In a statement to the press on Thursday, El Khalfi stressed that acts of violence and vandalism that occurred on Wednesday in several regions of the Kingdom ‘unfortunately took on a more serious and even dangerous turn in certain separate areas, following the involvement of troublemakers in attacks carried out with bladed weapons and the storming of State-owned buildings and security service premises, as happened in Leqliaa in the prefecture of Inezgane-Ait-Melloul, where a group of individuals attempted to seize ammunition, equipment, and service weapons made available to these security services, forcing members of the Royal Gendarmerie, in self-defense, to make use of their service weapons, which resulted in three deaths.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, public authorities remain committed to fulfilling their duties in accordance with the principle of institutional accountability and constitutional and legal provisions, while ensuring safeguarding of public order and guaranteeing the exercise of rights and freedoms within its legal framework.
