Two Palestinians injured, one seriously, in an Israeli military raid of Kafr Ra’i town


JENIN: Two Palestinians were injured, including one seriously, late last night by Israeli occupation forces during an Israeli military incursion into the town of Kafr Ra’i, south of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, according to local and medical sources.

Sources at the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that the young man Shams Abdel Qader Melhem, 19, was shot with live ammunition in the back during the Israeli raid on Kafr Ra’i. Initially, he was taken to Attil Governmental Hospital where he received first aid, and was later transferred to Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm.

Local sources also reported that another young man was injured by Israeli gunfire in the foot during the raid.

Simultaneously, Israeli occupation forces conducted an arrest campaign and raided several homes in the town of Fahma, south of Jenin. They conducted searches and field investigations with several citizens, and at least 3 citizens were arrested.
