U20 World Cup: Morocco’s Triumph Marks New Milestone in Journey Shaped by Royal Vision

Warsaw: Moroccan football continues to achieve success thanks to a long-term national strategy, wrote “Gazeta Wyborcza,” one of Poland’s leading newspapers.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, “the young Moroccan players delivered a flawless tournament, playing with discipline, remarkable focus, and consistency rarely seen at that age. This approach allowed them to defeat major football powerhouses such as Spain, Brazil, and France. In the final, they shattered Argentina’s hopes in the first half,” the newspaper noted.

The publication emphasized that this result comes as no surprise, as Morocco’s football achievements are the product of a carefully designed plan aimed at sparking a true revolution in the sport, both in Africa and worldwide.

The Mohammed VI Football Academy stands as a prime example of Morocco’s sustained success on both continental and global stages. Its inauguration in 2010 by His Majesty the King marked a turning point for Moroccan football, “Gazeta Wyborcza” noted.

Moroccan football owes its consistent and dynamic progress to a comprehensive, long-term effort, with historic results at the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 Olympic Games, the rise of women’s football, and the dominance of the national futsal team. Sports officials, the paper added, are advancing their training programs to conquer new horizons.

Morocco has also become a regular host of major international events, including the Africa Cup of Nations this coming December, five consecutive Women’s U20 World Championships between 2025 and 2029, and, most notably, the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which the Kingdom will co-host with Spain and Portugal, the Polish daily recalled.
