New york: “My delegation supports the Moroccan Autonomy initiative” to achieve a just, lasting, and mutually acceptable political solution to this artificial conflict, stressed Saint Lucia’s representative, Carlton Ronnie Henry, before members of the 4th Committee of the United Nations’ General Assembly. He reiterated his country’s support for the efforts of the UN Secretary-General and his Personal Envoy to the Moroccan Sahara to facilitate the political process, adding that the resolution of this conflict can only be achieved within the exclusive framework of the United Nations.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the diplomat called on all parties to engage constructively and in good faith in this process.
