NEW YORK: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that the health and living conditions in the Gaza Strip are inhumane.
The agency said in a post on its official website that the Palestinian families in Gaza have no choice but to live next to mountains of accumulated waste, near which sewage water leaks, exposing them to diseases.
It further called for the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation has been waging a large-scale aggression on the Gaza Strip since last October, which resulted, according to a tally announced by the Ministry of Health today, in the killing of more than 41,615 and the injury of more than 96,359 thousand others.
