Manama, Shaikh Salman bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the Higher Urban Planning Committee, today received Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, at his office in Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting discussed updates in the development of urban planning.

The Vice Chairman of the Higher Urban Planning Committee said that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, continued to formulate programmes and initiatives that supported the progress of sustainable urban development. In this regard, he emphasised the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors to implement projects that contribute to the development of the kingdom.

On his part, the Minister of Finance and National Economy highlighted the pivotal role of the Higher Urban Planning Committee in pursuing development goals with
in the comprehensive development process led by HM the King. He also shed light on the efforts led by the committee, chaired by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, aiming to support the implementation of developmental projects in various sectors to contribute to boosting the national economy and the competitiveness of Bahrain.

The minister commended the efforts of all members of Team Bahrain to drive the progress of sustainable urban planning in the kingdom.
