Uncertainty generated by the war in Ukraine led upmarket German carmaker Audi to say on Thursday it would not be issuing a forecast for 2022 as a whole. “We see evident strains on the production side in March and April,” chief financial officer Jürgen Rittersberger said from the company headquarters in Ingolstadt. Rittersberger added that he could not predict how these strains could be compensated for in the second half.
