Weather forecast: Rise in temperature

Normal summer conditions are expected to prevail today, with no significant change in temperature, remaining around its seasonal average, according to the Palestine Meteorological Department (PMD). Winds are southwesterly to northwesterly and light to moderate. Sea waves are low. The temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 18°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 28°C and a low of 17°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 38°C and a low of 24°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas. Relatively hot conditions are expected tomorrow, Monday, with a rise in temperature to become above its annual average by 2 °C. A further rise in temperature is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday to become above its seasonal average by around 4 °C and 6°C, respectively. Hot to very hot conditions are expected to prevail. PMD warned of low horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog.
