Young Palestinian shot dead by Israeli troops in Nour Shams refugee camp


TULKARM: Early this Friday morning, a Palestinian young man was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces after they raided the Nour Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm city in the occupied West Bank. Several others were detained during the raid.

The Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm confirmed the killing of Sa’ed Abu Alawiya, who was fatally shot by Israeli sniper fire while on the rooftop of his home in the Jabal al-Nasr area in Nour Shams camp.

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli military vehicles stormed the camp after entering the city from its western and southern axes, positioning themselves in Jabal al-Nasr and imposing a strict cordon on the area.

During the raid, the Israeli forces besieged a house in the camp, sparking intense confrontations, while reconnaissance aircraft hovered overhead. The young man Abu Alawiya was critically injured by Israeli gunfire and was rushed by ambulance to the Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, where was announced dead of his wounds later.

nally, two young men were arrested from their homes in Nour Shams camp by the occupation forces.

Meanwhile, an Israeli special military unit infiltrated the Thanabeh suburb east of Tulkarm, where they raided the home of the al-Sabarini family, conducting a thorough search and interrogating its occupants.

In another raid, an Israeli military unit broke into the Artah suburb south of the city, raiding the home of the Attanib family, ransacking its contents, and arresting the young man Luay Attanib.
