Rabat: The 157th session of the Diplomatic Hub hosted the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, on Wednesday in Rabat, in the presence of ambassadors and representatives from over 60 countries and international organizations.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the meeting was organized under the theme “Moroccan Economy and International Partnerships: What New Levers for Investment and Inclusive and Sustainable Development?” This event is part of a series of gatherings by the Diplomatic Foundation aimed at highlighting Morocco’s development projects and strategic initiatives, while also anticipating future challenges.
In his opening remarks, Abdelati Habek, President of the Diplomatic Foundation, praised Morocco’s recent success in establishing itself as a regional economic and investment hub. This achievement is attributed to Morocco’s strategic geographical position, robust infrastructure, numerous free-trade agreements, and political and institutional stability.

further elaborated on the Moroccan economy’s resilience amidst global shocks, economic fluctuations, geopolitical crises, and climate challenges. He emphasized Morocco’s ability to convert these challenges into opportunities for reform, showcasing its unique position on the global stage.
Economic and investment diplomacy, as highlighted by Habek, now plays a crucial role in contemporary diplomatic action, bridging the gap between politics and the economy, and fostering partnerships and cooperation in new areas.
The upcoming challenge for Morocco, as identified by Habek, lies in channeling investments into promising future sectors and industries. This aims to enhance the national economy’s competitiveness and lay the groundwork for sustainable and inclusive growth.
Minister Fettah detailed the Kingdom’s projects and reforms designed to boost the national economy’s attractiveness. Initiatives include a new Investment Charter, business climate improvements, promotion of private investment, development of publ
ic-private partnerships, and channeling investments toward high value-added sectors.
Despite a global environment fraught with crises and geopolitical tensions, the minister highlighted Morocco’s economic resilience, maintained through ongoing reforms and macroeconomic balance. These efforts not only foster investment but also enhance the competitiveness of the national economy.
Fettah also lauded the rapid extension of medical coverage, benefiting a wide demographic, alongside the establishment of university hospitals across Moroccan regions. She underscored the significance of territorial equity through regional development models and major projects like the ports of Nador and Dakhla, aimed at stimulating inclusive growth.
