15th Morocco-France High-Level Meeting Focuses on Digital Cooperation


Rabat: The Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, held bilateral talks on Thursday in Rabat with the French Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy, Finance, and Industrial, Energy, and Digital Sovereignty, Anne Le H©nanff.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the meeting took place during the official visit to the Kingdom of French Prime Minister S©bastien Lecornu, who is co-chairing the 15th session of the Morocco-France High-Level Meeting alongside the Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch. Discussions focused on strengthening Moroccan-French cooperation in digital technology and AI. The ministers explored several areas of partnership, including research and innovation, skills development, support for startups, and the integration of AI into public services and the economy.



Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to a partnership based on co-innovation, skills transfer, and local capacity building. They emphasized the importance of trustworthy, human-centric AI, prioritizing privacy and citizen security from the design phase to deployment. This meeting reflects the shared determination of both nations to enhance their strategic cooperation in digital technology and AI, boosting competitiveness, digital sovereignty, and innovative capacity.



The discussions further underscored Morocco’s role as a leading player in AI development in Africa, aligning with the reinforced exceptional partnership between Morocco and France, driven by His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Emmanuel Macron.
