Morocco: Morocco’s airports welcomed 36.6 million passengers in 2025, marking an 11% year-on-year increase, according to the National Office of Airports (ONDA).
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, last year’s upward trend was significantly boosted by the success of the Africa Cup of Nations, which drew fans from across the globe to Morocco.
The growth is the result of sound strategic choices under the “Airport 2030” strategy, through which demand was anticipated in advance, infrastructure adapted, passenger experience enhanced, and air connectivity strengthened.
Casablanca Airport alone surpassed 11 million passengers by December, while Marrakesh Airport reached the 10-million mark for the first time, confirming its status as a top-tier tourism hub.
Rabat-Sal© Airport, meanwhile, recorded an exceptional increase of 26%, reaching 2 million passengers. Overall traffic growth is driven by the Kingdom’s five main airports, which together account for around 90% of national passenger volume.
Casablanca represents 32% of total traffic, Marrakesh 28%, and Agadir 10%, while Tangier and Rabat continue to post strong growth rates of 17% and 26% respectively compared to 2024.
These figures confirm the effectiveness of ONDA’s efforts, carried out in close coordination with key stakeholders, notably the Ministry of the Interior, the Directorate General of National Security, the Royal Gendarmerie, the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration, as well as the Ministry of Transport and Logistics.
