22nd Moroccan-French Joint Military Commission Meeting Concludes Successfully.

Rabat: The 22nd Meeting of the Moroccan-French Joint Military Commission, guided by High Royal Instructions, took place on December 2 and 3, 2024, in Rabat. It was co-chaired by General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and Commander of the Southern Zone, alongside General Thierry Burkhard, Chief of Staff of the French Armed Forces. The session culminated in the signing of minutes addressing various facets of bilateral military cooperation.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, on the second day of his visit to Morocco, General Thierry Burkhard delivered a lecture at the Royal College of Higher Military Education (CREMS) in Kenitra. The lecture, titled “Armed Forces Facing the Challenges of Hybrid Warfare,” was attended by trainee officers from the Advanced Defense Course and the Staff Course, in addition to faculty members and staff officers of CREMS.

Further activities included a visit to the Mohammed V Mausoleum in Rabat, where General Burkhard, accompanied by a signif
icant delegation, paid respects at the tombs of Their Majesties the late Mohammed V and the late Hassan II. In a solemn gesture, General Burkhard laid a wreath on the tombs of the two revered Sovereigns.
