The Higher Education Council (HEC), chaired by Education Minister and Chairman of HEC Board of Trustees, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, issued an edict, endorsing the extension of the term of Professor Sameer Otoom as President of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland- Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) by two years, starting from the end of his current term.

The edict was based on a request submitted by the Board of Trustees of RCSI-Bahrain.

HEC’s Secretariat General shall implement the provisions of this edict.
