Morocco’s Top Police Chief Engages in Strategic Talks with Belgian Security Administrator General.


Rabat: Morocco’s top police chief recently engaged in strategic discussions with the Belgian State Security Administrator General, focusing on a range of internal security issues shared between the two nations. The pivotal meeting centered on addressing terrorist threats and risks, both regionally and internationally, with particular attention to the challenges in the sub-Saharan Sahel region, as reported by the DGSN-DGST in a press release.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Belgian official commended the high level of security cooperation achieved with Moroccan security services in combating terrorism and extremism. She expressed Belgium’s readiness to further enhance this collaboration to effectively neutralize threats that compromise the security of both countries.

During the talks, both parties underscored the necessity of expanding bilateral cooperation between Morocco and Belgium’s internal security services. They also highlighted the importance of facilitating the exchange of information a
nd sharing expertise to elevate the security partnership between the two nations.

This meeting is part of ongoing discussions between Morocco’s National Security and Territorial Surveillance Director General and his counterparts from various friendly and allied countries. These discussions aim to enhance police cooperation and strengthen coordination on internal security matters and emerging threats.
