Rabat: The major achievements accomplished in 2025 by the National Observatory for Children’s Rights (ONDE) regarding child protection and the promotion of their fundamental rights are the result of a collective effort and synergy among various actors, in accordance with the High Royal Guidelines calling for the strengthening of solidarity and cohesion between different institutions, stated the Observatory’s Vice-President, Ghizlane Benjelloun, on Monday in Rabat.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Benjelloun emphasized that the year 2025 was rich in achievements, translating commitments into actions, grounded on innovation and institutional action, with children’s health as a priority. She highlighted these points during ONDE’s annual meeting, attended by institutional, public, and private partners.
The meeting was a culmination of sustained efforts aligned with the High Guidelines of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem, President of ONDE, whose support and commitment drive the initiatives and p
rojects. Benjelloun reviewed the Observatory’s achievements in health, digital innovation, justice, and children’s participation through the Children’s Parliament. She celebrated the success of the 17th National Congress on Children’s Rights and the organization of the 1st edition of the African Forum of the Children’s Parliament in November 2025 in Rabat, which affirms Morocco’s role in South-South cooperation.
Benjelloun also acknowledged the signing of several partnership agreements during the meeting, reflecting the belief that child protection is a shared national responsibility. These partnerships embody the implementation of High Royal Guidelines to enhance children’s integrated protection and ensure their rights to health, education, participation, and protection against violence.
Additionally, the meeting included the presentation of ONDE’s Action Plan for 2026, aiming to consolidate achievements, promote innovation, and enhance future actions’ impact through projects and partnerships for children’
s rights in Morocco. The goal is for every child to benefit from integrated protection, guaranteed rights, and opportunities to thrive through innovative public policies and strong partnerships.
The meeting saw the participation of government members, heads of public establishments and institutions, international agencies and partners, and members of the Observatory’s Board of Directors.
