AFCON Morocco-2025 (Day 2/Group A): Zambia, Comoros Share Points in Goalless Draw


Casablanca: The Zambian national team and their Comorian counterparts played out a goalless draw (0-0) in a match counting for the second round of Group A of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco, held on Friday at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the match’s highlight was a goal for Comoros that was disallowed in the 19th minute following a VAR review. After this result, Zambia temporarily sits in second place with two points, while Comoros remains bottom with one point, level with Mali, who had drawn their opening match against the Chipolopolo.



As part of the same round, the other Group A fixture pits Morocco against Mali on Friday at 9:00 p.m. (local time) at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. In the third-round matches, scheduled for Monday at 8:00 p.m., Morocco will face Zambia at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, while Comoros will take on Zambia at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca.
