Rabat: The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has designated Ghanaian Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea as the official for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations semifinal match between Morocco and Nigeria.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea will be assisted on the sidelines by South African Zakhele Thusi Granville Siwela, Lesotho’s Souru Phatsoane, and Mozambique’s Arsenio Chadreque Maringule. The CAF announced these appointments on Tuesday via social media.
Video assistant refereeing (VAR) responsibilities will be handled by South African Abongile Tom, with assistance from Tunisian Haythem Guirat and Kenyan Stephen Onyango Yiembe.
The match between the Super Eagles and the Atlas Lions is scheduled for Wednesday at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium at 9:00 pm local time. It is expected to be one of the major clashes of this edition of the tournament, which runs until January 18.
