Rabat: The Nigeria-Morocco African Atlantic Gas Pipeline Project is a “major breakthrough” for West Africa, Liberian President Joseph Boakai emphasized Sunday in Lungi, Sierra Leone. The result of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s enlightened Vision, “this project is not a mere energy initiative, it is a transformative investment in the collective future of the entire region,” the Liberian president added in a statement to the press on the sidelines of the 69th Ordinary Session of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Boakai expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Morocco for this gas pipeline, which he described as a “necessary achievement.” The Nigeria-Morocco African Atlantic Gas Pipeline is about more than just energy: it is a major infrastructure project that will boost the regional economy, Boakai continued.

He further affirmed that this project demonstrates what can be achieved when African nations prioritize cooperation over fragmentation.
