Al Mada Appoints Noufissa Kessar as New CEO Following Hassan Ouriagli’s Passing


Casablanca: The Board of Directors of Al Mada has elected Noufissa Kessar as the group’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, following the passing of the former CEO, Hassan Ouriagli.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the decision was made during a board meeting on Friday, where the directors paid homage to Ouriagli’s leadership and numerous achievements that significantly contributed to Al Mada’s strategic position in both the national and African economies. The group expressed its sincere condolences to Ouriagli’s family and the organization’s collaborators, acknowledging the deep sense of loss experienced during this emotional period.



Noufissa Kessar’s appointment aligns with Al Mada’s ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainable growth, and operational excellence. Kessar has a long-standing career with the group, beginning her journey at the group’s bank and subsequently serving as Deputy Director General at Al Mada holding. Her active contributions to the group’s strategic projects and global development are well recognized.



Kessar is an alumna of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne and has spent most of her career with Al Mada Group. She began at Attijariwafa Bank, playing a pivotal role in the creation of Attijari Finances Corp, before transitioning to the holding company. Additionally, she holds directorial roles in several subsidiaries of the Al Mada Group.



Under Kessar’s leadership, Al Mada aims to further its development, innovation, and contributions to economic and social progress both in Morocco and internationally. This is in line with the values established by the Group’s shareholders, as highlighted in the press release.
