Arab FMs Reaffirm Centrality of Skhirat Agreement as General Framework for Libyan Political Settlement


Cairo: Arab foreign ministers reaffirmed on Wednesday in Cairo the centrality of the Skhirat Agreement, signed in 2015, as the general framework for a political settlement to the Libyan crisis.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, in a resolution adopted during the 163rd session of the Council of the Arab League at the ministerial level, concerning developments in the situation in Libya, the Arab ministers reiterated their support for the United Nations mission in Libya, within the mandate granted to it under Security Council resolutions, to achieve a comprehensive political settlement based on the Libyan Political Agreement signed in Skhirat in 2015.
