RAMALLAH: The Detainees and ex-Detainees Affairs Commission today said that around 7,305 Palestinians were detained by the Israeli occupation forces after the seventh of last October.

The commission said in a statement that Israeli army carried out large-scale arrest campaign in the occupied territories, which were accompanied by severe beatings and threats against detainees and their families.

During the past 24 hours, the Israeli occupation forces launched a massive arrest campaign that targeted at least 35 people from the occupied West Bank, including children and former prisoners.

The arrests were concentrated in the city of Yatta, south of Hebron, while the rest of the arrests were distributed among the governorates of Bethlehem, Jenin, Ramallah, and Jerusalem.

The commission pointed out that since the beginning of the Israeli aggression and ground invasion into the Gaza Strip, the occupation began carrying out mass arrest campaigns against civilians.
