His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa praised the efforts made by all ministries and state institutions to ensure all requirements for the successful commemoration of the Ashoora.
HM the King indicated that Ashoora, with its its special spiritual nature, will remain one of the most important pillars of religious freedoms and sectarian pluralism that the Kingdom of Bahrain has enjoyed throughout the ages.
HM the King said that this year’s commemoration was marked by the highest level of discipline and organisation, which confirms that Bahrain is an inclusive, open and cohesive society as well as, an oasis of brotherhood and peace. He noted that today’s world has no other way but coexistence and cooperation for all people to thrive.
He commended the role of all government agencies as well as their efforts during the commemoration of Ashoora, praising the level of security and community services and the care provided to ensure rituals to be held in a free and orderly way.
He commended the efforts of all competent intitutions and agencies, citing particularly the Ministry of Interior, the Jaffari Endowments Council, heads of community centres (maatams), supervising committees, field work teams and volunteers.
HM the King hailed the spirit of awareness and reponsibilty which marked the Ashoora commemoration, praising the good follow-up and the meticulous and smooth organization of the rituals.
