Bahrain drew 29-29 with Slovenia in the 2023 IHF Men’s Junior Championship, being held in Germany and Greece.
The national squad and the Slovenian team drew 12-12 at halftime, in the match which was held at the Anu Lucia sport arena in Ano Liosia Olympic Hall in Athens.
The national team bounced back to hold Slovenia to a draw after losing to Sweden 35-17 in their first game last Monday.
Bahraini goalkeeper Hesham Al Ostadh was impressive which earned him the Player of the Match prize. Jassim Khamis and Mohammed Hameed were also decisive in the match, scoring seven goals each for Bahrain.
Bahrain is third with one point from a draw, in Group F, which incudes also Sweden, Slovenia and Groenland.
