Bahrain-US strategic partnership highlighted

Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa today met Daniel Benaim, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Peninsula Affairs in the Near East Bureau at the U.S. Department of State.

Dr. Shaikh Abdulla stressed Bahrain's keenness on reinforcing longstanding strategic partnership with the United States, in the political, economic and security fields, which contributes to maintaining security, stability and peace, protecting maritime security and combating extremism, terrorism and cross-border crimes in the region and the world.

Benaim commended growing cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries, noting Bahrain's role in supporting security, stability and peaceful co-existence in the Middle East.
