Rabat: As part of the development of a national framework for the organization and management of private football academies and schools operating in the Kingdom of Morocco, and based on studies conducted on national organizational and strategic mechanisms for football development, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has decided to ban the establishment of academies and schools bearing the names of foreign clubs.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the ban applies to academies and schools that have partnerships with these clubs or any other type of affiliation with them, the federation said in a statement published Sunday on its website.

This decision is part of the FRMF’s approach aimed at strengthening national training and supervision, establishing the principle of autonomy for private football academies and schools in full alignment with the national strategic orientations for football development, and training new generations of footballers in an integrated environment, according to the same source.
