Barid Al-Maghrib and Saudi Post Forge Strategic Alliance to Enhance Postal Services and E-Commerce

Dubai: Barid Al-Maghrib and Saudi Post have entered into two pivotal agreements aimed at enhancing postal services and e-commerce between Morocco and Saudi Arabia. The agreements were signed during the 28th Universal Postal Congress (UPU) held in Dubai, which saw participation from over 2,000 delegates representing 192 member countries.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the first agreement establishes a cooperation protocol that focuses on strengthening collaboration between Barid Al-Maghrib and Saudi Post. This initiative seeks to address emerging challenges in the postal sector while promoting the exchange of innovative services and products. A press release from Barid Al-Maghrib highlights the significance of this protocol in fostering a more robust postal partnership between the two nations.

The second agreement centers on the exchange of postal shipments through Saudi Post’s extraterritorial exchange offices. This strategic mechanism aims to optimize e-commerce-related shipments and streamline logistics between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, providing a more efficient service to both nations.

These agreements are an extension of the work initiated during the 4th Morocco-Saudi Arabia Joint Cooperation Commission, held in Mecca on March 5, 2025. They reflect the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthen their relations and develop high-value partnerships, thereby supporting the rapid evolution of the postal sector and e-commerce.

Barid Al-Maghrib and Saudi Post, through these initiatives, reaffirm their dedication to contributing to sustainable development and enhanced cooperation in postal services, ensuring that they remain at the forefront of innovation and service excellence.
