Rabat:The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency recently held a meeting of the Advisory Committee of Experts to review the progress of consultations on the preparation of its action plan for the 2027-2030 period. The meeting aimed to examine the methodological and technical aspects related to the formulation of the agency’s ten strategic pillars, ensuring alignment between the set objectives, available resources, and implementation mechanisms.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Cherkaoui emphasized that Vision 2030 revolves around the core principles of protecting the Holy City and preserving its religious, historical, and cultural heritage. It also focuses on supporting the resilience of Al-Quds’ inhabitants and implementing impactful programs and projects as per the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.
The agency’s participatory approach in developing its action plan for the upcoming four years is based on a belief that the plan should result from a consultation process with the people of Al-Quds and their institutions. Vision 2030 is structured around three strategic pillars enhancing administrative governance, digitalization and international quality compliance, and improving resources through diversified funding. Additionally, it includes the execution of an integrated action plan supporting social sectors.
The action plan includes ten main programs covering areas such as education, healthcare, housing, heritage protection, human development, and support for women, youth, and children. It also focuses on cultural industries, waqf property development, and revitalizing trade and tourism. A significant aspect of the vision is digital transformation, aiming to develop a digital ecosystem for program management, resource mobilization, and support for youth projects, especially through the Bayt Al-Mal Plus platform for economic empowerment.
The agency’s preparation of the action plan emphasizes transparency, efficiency, and accountability, linking funding to tangible results. It relies on precise indicators to monitor program implementation and measure contributions to sustainable development. This phase is crucial due to the economic and social challenges in Al-Quds, necessitating new intervention tools, local partner coordination, and resource mobilization for sustainable program effectiveness.
The development of Vision 2030 is part of the agency’s mission under King Mohammed VI’s supervision, focusing on preserving Al-Quds’ identity and enhancing economic and social opportunities for its inhabitants.
