Brussels: Belgium’s Minister of Justice, Annelies Verlinden, praised the “excellent” level of judicial cooperation with Morocco during a press briefing in Brussels, emphasizing the active collaboration between the two nations in addressing security and organized crime challenges.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Verlinden, after her talks with Moroccan Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi, highlighted the high quality of cooperation between the judicial authorities of both countries. This collaboration was further solidified by the signing of an action plan aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The action plan, rooted in a relationship of trust that both countries aim to enhance, represents a mutual commitment by Brussels and Rabat to intensify their efforts against organized crime, Verlinden stated.
Similarly, Ouahbi expressed satisfaction with his discussions with Verlinden, noting that the talks underscore the robust and deep relationship between Morocco and Belgium. He mentioned that the discussions covered several common interests such as the exchange of judicial and security information and the transfer of detainees. The action plan signed between the two ministries is set to be implemented soon.
