RAMALLAH: During its weekly meeting in Ramallah on Tuesday, the Palestinian Cabinet reiterated the directives of President Mahmoud Abbas to all relevant bodies, particularly the diplomatic corps, to mobilize international pressure to end Israel’s ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, including its use of starvation against the population in northern Gaza.

In addition to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the cabinet addressed the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli occupation and colonists in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

The Cabinet also addressed ongoing efforts to push for the resumption of humanitarian aid deliveries to northern Gaza. It also reviewed the overall catastrophic humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, with special emphasis on the worsening crisis in the north.

The cabinet also highlighted efforts made by the Ministry of Education to enhance the e-learning system and tailor it to the needs of students in Gaza. So far, around 220,000 students from the Gaza Strip have joined the pro
gram.

The cabinet was also briefed on the campaign launched by the Ministry of Agriculture in partnership with various governmental, non-governmental and civil organizations, to provide direct support to Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest season, amid the escalating attacks by colonists, carried out under the protection of the Israeli military, against farmers and their olive fields.

The cabinet examined various proposals to utilize state lands, especially in Area C which accounts for approximately 83% of the total land. They underscored the importance of simplifying the process for citizens to access these lands to safeguard them against confiscation and colonial expansion.
