Cabinet discusses ongoing efforts to end Israeli war waged against Palestinians in Gaza

RAMALLAH: The Palestinian Cabinet discussed during its weekly meeting today the ongoing efforts to stop the war waged against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip for the past 305 consecutive days.

The Cabinet also discussed the occupation’s systematic targeting of the West Bank; most recently against the city of Jenin and its camp, the village of Kafr Qud and the town of Aqaba in Tubas, which left several people killed and injured and caused the destruction of infrastructure and citizens’ properties.

The Cabinet also called on international institutions to shoulder their responsibilities in light of warnings of the dire health situation in Gaza, especially after more than 100,000 cases of hepatitis A have been recorded, compared to only a few dozen cases that were recorded before the aggression.

The Cabinet further discussed the possibility of an outbreak of the highly infectious polio virus in the Gaza Strip, and the urgent steps the Ministry of Health has taken in this regard, affirming that the gov
ernment immediately began working to provide 1.2 million doses to vaccinate all children in Gaza.

The Cabinet also reviewed the Israeli violations in Jerusalem and its suburbs during July 2024, and the actions taken by the competent authorities, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to follow up on these violations with international institutions and diplomatic missions.
