Rabat: Moroccan footballer Ghizlaine Chebbak has been named the African Player of the Year at the CAF Awards 2025. Chebbak, who has shown remarkable skill and dedication on the field, stood out among her peers to receive this prestigious accolade.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the final list of candidates for the award also featured Sanaa Mssoudy, a forward for AS FAR and the Moroccan national team, and Nigerian Rasheedat Ajibade, who plays for PSG. The award was presented by CAF President Patrice Motsepe, highlighting Chebbak’s significant contributions to football in Africa.
