Casablanca Stocks Open Upbeat with 0.43% MASI Increase


Casablanca: The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading in positive territory on Thursday, with its benchmark index, the MASI, rising by 0.43% to 18,729.61 points. The MASI 20, which combines the 20 most liquid stocks, gained 0.44% to reach 1,536.51 points, while the MASI ESG, an index of companies with the highest environmental, social and governance ratings as assessed by Moody’s ESG Solutions, advanced by 0.48% to 1,287 points.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, measuring the performance of small and mid-sized listed companies, rose by 0.23% to 1,803.48 points. The previous day, the MASI had closed up 1.76%.
