Rabat – A coastal surveillance unit intercepted on Saturday an inflatable boat off Dakhla, carrying 108 Sub-Saharan would-be irregular migrants, including 28 minors, a woman and a girl, according to a press release from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
The boat set sail from the Mauritanian coast with the intention of reaching the Canary Islands, the statement said, adding that those rescued received the necessary care before being handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual administrative procedures.
