Colonists ignite fire in farmlands east of Tulkarm

TULKARM: A fire was deliberately set today by Israeli colonists in agricultural lands in the vicinity of the town of Ramin, located east of Tulkarm city in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Residents reported that a group of Israeli colonists ignited flames that spread across extensive areas of farmland, including olive and fig orchards, extending eastward towards the lands of the neighboring village of Deir Sharaf. This incident resulted in the destruction of dozens of trees.

According to the same sources, told colonists not only started the fire but also prevented local farmers from reaching their lands. In the confrontation that followed, colonists physically assaulted the farmers and fired shots in their direction. No injuries were reported.

Civil defense teams responded to the blaze, working alongside local residents to extinguish the fire.

Recently, colonists have intensified their attacks on Ramin’s farmers and their lands, including uprooting and damaging olive trees and chasing
farmers off their land.
