The Customs Affairs launched the “Best Idea” for its affiliates as part of efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Strategy (2021-2024), in line with the Government Action Plan, the 2030 Economic Vision and the policies of the World Customs Organisation WCO).

The initiative aims at creating a work environment that incubates innovation and encourages creativity to raise the quality of work, in line with the approach of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The move is also in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Interior General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, with the follow-up of the Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa to achieve the Customs Strategy 2021-2024.

Four top ideas, out of 34 which were in the fray have been selected and referred to the competent directorates to be implemented.

The winning ideas included:

(Invoice Calculator) -submitted by employee Rashid Abdul Rahman Al-Tamimi from the Land Ports Customs Directorate.

Imported Vehicles Evalution App – submitted by employee Abdullah Ibrahim Al-Maliki from the Sea Ports Customs Directorate.

Customs Oleg – submitted by employees Fatima Rashid Al-Jar, Sheikha Hassan Jameel (Control and Performance Follow-up Directorate) and employee Mi’aad Al Jowder ( Legal Affaoirs Section).

Shift from Manual to Smart Cheking- submitted by employee Youssef Ahmed Boudoulama ( Airports Customs Direatorate).
