Speaking on the occasion of the launch by the Ministry of Justice of four new digital services, Mr. Akhannouch welcomed the efforts undertaken by the ministry to join the digital transition project.

Stressing the various challenges imposed by the pandemic and the need to transform them into opportunities, he noted that the government is working on a digital revolution within public administrations. The idea of creating the Ministry Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of the Digital Transition and Administrative Reform is part of this resolve, the Head of the Government explained.

In application of the High Royal Guidelines, especially those contained in the message addressed by HM the King to the participants in the National Forum on the Senior Civil Service (Skhirat 2018), the objectives of the New Development Model and the commitments of the 2021-2026 governmental program, the Executive has established the reform of public administration as a pillar of any economic and social development, by promoting efficiency, bringing administrative services closer to users and improving these services through the implementation of the digital transition.

This initiative of the Ministry of Justice is a step forward in the implementation of the vision of the Executive on digital transition and an essential element on the path of digitization of the judicial administration to allow citizens to access judicial services, Mr. Akhannouch said.

The new services launched by the Ministry of Justice cover four areas of judicial administration, namely the electronic criminal record, the digital repository of judicial staff (database of all lawyers, notaries, experts and translators), the electronic payment of traffic fines and a hotline service for better communication between the citizens and all the authorities within the judicial system.
