Paris – Thanks to the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco is positioned as a “great African power,” emphasized Jean Claude Martinez, a French politician and legal scholar.
“With the support of active diplomacy driven by enlightened Royal leadership, Morocco is a great African power,” affirmed this former Member of the European Parliament and Emeritus Professor of Law at Paris-II University in a statement to MAP on the occasion of the Moroccan people celebrating the 25th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.
The stature enjoyed by the Kingdom is the result of several years of institutional, political, and economic reforms that have consolidated the foundations of a modern, prosperous, stable, and globally engaged Morocco, he explained.
Highlighting the economic growth and societal advancements achieved under the Sovereign’s guidance, he called for “reflection around the Mediterranean where Morocco, the only stable country in the South of this region, will
play a key role in addressing the various challenges we face.”
“From the European side, there must be a policy oriented towards the countries on the southern shore of the Mediterranean. The Mediterranean should be our focus, with Morocco as the pivot of a genuine policy for co-building our shared future,” he insisted.
The Mediterranean and Europe are fortunate to have Morocco as a partner, where His Majesty the King ensures stability with a forward-thinking vision, a well-defined course, and a clearly set horizon, the French legal scholar explained.
