Edamah Announces December Opening of Hawar Resort by Mantis on Gateway Gulf Sidelines.


Manama: Edamah, the real estate arm of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), announced on the sidelines of the Gateway Gulf Forum, organized by the Bahrain Economic Development Board, that the Hawar Resort by Mantis is scheduled to open in early December. This marks a significant step in luxury eco-tourism on Bahrain’s Hawar Island.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the resort, located on the west coast of Hawar Island, is part of a thriving wildlife sanctuary. It is poised to be a landmark environmentally-focused project in the Middle East, featuring 102 keys, including luxury overwater villas and beach villas, five dining concepts, and extensive sports and leisure facilities. These include the Adventure Park and the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, in collaboration with UK television presenter and survival expert Bear Grylls.

Hawar Island, a 30-minute journey from Bahrain’s main island, is celebrated for its natural history and recognized by UNESCO. Its untouched environment offers a vibrant ecosystem that will attract nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. Visitors can encounter diverse wildlife, including sand gazelles, coral reefs, and endangered dugongs, as well as migratory birds like the Socotra cormorants.
