Rabat: The European Investment Bank (EIB) will continue supporting Morocco’s growth, prosperity, and social development, EIB President Nadia Calvi±o said on Wednesday in Rabat.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Calvi±o emphasized Morocco’s role as a strategic partner for Europe, highlighting the country’s importance as a cornerstone of stability, security, and prosperity for the entire region. At the end of her visit to the Kingdom, she reiterated the EIB’s commitment to fostering Morocco’s development.
The EIB President recalled the £365 million loan the Bank allocated to bolster Morocco’s transport infrastructure, particularly enhancing the rail network. Over the past four years, the Bank has significantly increased its financing for Morocco, tripling its investment in critical sectors such as education, solar energy, and infrastructure.
Calvi±o’s visit marks part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between the European institution and Morocco, reinforcing the EIB’s resolve to support the Kingdom’s developmental goals.
