Rabat: El Salvador’s First Lady, Gabriela Rodrguez de Bukele, visited the Lalla Asmaa Foundation’s Hearing Diagnosis and Rehabilitation Center in Rabat, where she attended a presentation on the Center’s operations. This visit highlights Morocco’s dedication to supporting deaf children, guided by the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the efforts of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Asmaa, who leads the Foundation.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Center, inaugurated in March 2024, features a comprehensive range of facilities, including a mother-and-child area, pediatric and ENT consultation rooms, as well as speech therapy and psychomotor therapy services. The Center also offers psychology services, audiometry, auditory evoked potentials units, and an infirmary, all aimed at providing specialized care.
During her visit, Rodrguez de Bukele was briefed on the latest advancements in cochlear implant technology, including remote adjustment and activation capabilities. This technological insight further underscores the Center’s commitment to offering cutting-edge solutions for hearing impairments.
Concluding her visit, Rodrguez de Bukele left a note in the Center’s Guest Book, marking her appreciation and support for the Foundation’s efforts.
