Rabat: In a statement released after a meeting held Thursday following the events in certain Moroccan cities, the Environment and Development Party urged ‘hearing out the street and responding swiftly and seriously to youth’s demands’ while working to ‘meet their legitimate requests, particularly in health and education.’
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Party emphasized the right of citizens, both men and women, to demonstrate peacefully and express their opinions in accordance with the Constitution. Despite this, the Party condemned the acts of violence and destruction of public and private property witnessed in some cities.
The Party’s statement highlighted the crucial role of young people as the spearhead of the country’s development, growth, and prosperity, urging immediate attention to their calls for change.
