Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received today Assistant Undersecretary for Political Affairs and Negotiations at the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al Owaishek.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the fifth meeting of the Policy Advisory Group of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Both sides discussed the march of fraternal integration between the GCC member states and the efforts of the Secretariat General in promoting strategic partnership and dialogue with the brotherly and friendly countries. They also reviewed prospects of political, security and defence partnership with NATO within the framework of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative to promote peace and security in the Arabian Gulf region, the Middle East and the world.
