Foreign Ministry welcomes Saudi Crown Price’s statements on Palestinian Question


RAMALLAH: Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry Wednesday welcomed Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s statements on the Palestinian Question.

The Ministry welcomed in a press statements bin Salman’s sincere brotherly position to the effect that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would not recognize Israel without a Palestinian state and strong condemnation of the ‘crimes of the Israeli occupation’ against the Palestinian people.

‘The Kingdom will not stop its tireless work towards the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, and we affirm that the Kingdom will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without that,’ the Crown Prince said in a speech before the advisory Shura Council, as reported by Alarabiya.

He emphasized that the Palestinian cause remains a top priority for Saudi Arabia and expressed gratitude to the nations that have recognized the Palestinian state.

The Ministry considered bin Salman’s remarks as a reaffirmation on the Kingdom’s posi
tions in support of the Palestinian people’s just and inalienable rights in all international forums, including its emphasis on the realization of the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of the independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, as the key to regional peace, security and stability, and as an evidence of the high priority the Kingdom attaches to the Palestinian Question.
